My 85 yr old dad had a stroke in April and his outpatient intensive therapy is going to end this month. Please pray for complete healing of his mind, body and emotions. The signals from his brain to his left side still need significant improvement even though we are seeing more and more movement. He can walk, but his balance is off and his footing unsteady so he continues to need one of us with him at all times because the risk of falling is high. His left hand is getting better as well, even though it is the final area to begin movement after the paralysis. We are thankful for every bit of increase in healing that we see but we know there is much more! His nights are very restless (not just for him, but for mom and my sister - or me, whichever one of us is staying overnight with them). His emotions at times are also at extremes. I can't imagine the frustration especially when his mind tells him he can do more than he is able to. Please also pray for the finances to purchase home therapy software and equipment that we'd like to use with him after his outpatient therapy ends. This is not covered by insurance.
