Spring Into Health

Many of us are realizing we need to change things in our lives to become healthier.  This can sometimes feel overwhelming and we stop before we start.  Last month we talked about drinking more water.  Your beginning can be as simple as getting that first glass of water and drinking it in the morning as you read your devotions.  That wasn’t so hard.

 

Spring into Action:

Our bodies were created to move.  Every joint, every muscle was created to rotate, stretch and be active.  Sitting still for long periods of time has been proven to be a huge deficit to our health.

Let’s begin moving more by walking. Walking can be very therapeutic. It is also a great time to connect with your family and friends. It’s nice to  have a partner when you are walking. Walking in two’s is also safer. 

We mentioned the Here Be Lions team wants to take the challenge of Pro-active health with you.  For the next 30 days we would like you to take the challenge with us:

  1. Drink 8-8oz glasses of water per day.
  2. Walk 8,000-10,000 steps per day.

Many of you have smart watches or fit bits to monitor your steps for you. If not pedometers are inexpensive at pharmacies and other local shopping centers. 

We would love to hear from you as you progress through these 30 days. You may hear from some of our team members as they take on this challenge too. 

You can do this!  Let’s chase after God and be healthy doing it.
